Are you searching for online jobs without investment that can make you at least $50 per day?
If you’re worried about wasting time on surveys and not actually getting paid, i want to validate you and tell you that this is not one of those articles that lists common sense ideas, but legitimate companies i used to earn extra income online without spending any money upfront, from the comfort of my home.
Few years back when I was searching for ways to make money with my phone, i found daily payment online jobs that paid me for completing mindless tasks while I was watching Love is Blind.
Did I earn life changing money? No.
But $20 per day for watching a video? Sounds like free coffee for a week, yes please.
In this article, you will learn about 51 different online jobs I tried, how much I earned and if they are worth your time, and I made sure to only include sites that are worth the time, whether you are:
– A student looking for flexible jobs to make extra income as a student (like I was!)
– Finding comfort in reddit approved daily payment jobs cautious about online credit card scams
– Unable to find online jobs that pay in India, US, Europe (add all continents that have internet access)
– Busy and want to earn with part time and flexible jobs only
Most importantly, all of these are online jobs to work from home without investment that will make you extra money, today.
How I Discovered Online Jobs Without Investment Actually Work
I briefly mentioned earlier, but I want to be completely honest with you. When I first heard about making money online without any investment, I was the biggest skeptic. I thought ‘If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.’
If people could make money online like this, why do I see these ladies at the cash register at my favorite coffee shop at 8 am?
But I found myself in a tough spot, and to make things better for me, I didn’t even own a laptop back in 2019.
So I googled ‘how to make money by phone’ and I started testing threads of Reddit users that claimed to make 50 bucks a day.
I started small with survey sites and simple data entry tasks. My first week, I made about $47. It didn’t change my life, but it was real money that appeared in my PayPal account, and proof that these online jobs were legitimate.
Over the months, I learned which platforms were worth my time and which ones weren’t. I found that you won’t get rich from these jobs quickly. However, they can give you extra income if you take them seriously.
Here’s what I learned about how online jobs without investment actually work:
- It makes sense that jobs like this exist
Companies need real work done – customer service, data entry, content creation, transcription. It costs them more to hire full time employees with benefits than to pay freelancers for short tasks. - You don’t need costly equipment
The jobs I tested and listed below only require a computer or smartphone with internet access. Some of the transcription jobs might need headphones, but that’s about it. - Payment is real
I have been paid via PayPal, direct deposit, and even in gift cards. - Flexibility is the biggest benefit
You can work when you want, as much or as little as you want. This was perfect for me when I had an unpredictable schedule as a student working a full-time job on the side. - But (and this is important)
Be realistic, don’t expect to make thousands of dollars in your first month. These are real jobs that will pay you fair wages for the work you do, not get rich quick schemes. - Red Flags
If someone asks you to pay money up front for ‘training,’ ‘starter kits,’ or ‘certification’ be careful. This is a red flag.
Legitimate employers never ask you to pay them.
I learned this the hard way when I almost fell for a scam early on. Trust your instincts and do your research.
Let Me Be Brutally Honest About Online Jobs Without Investment
Before I share the list, I need to share some hard truths with you. I have seen many unrealistic expectations about online work online and I don’t want that to happen to you too.
What you can realistically expect?
During your first week, expect to earn only $30 to $80. You are learning and testing different platforms, setting up you accounts and adding them to an Excel sheet to track your earnings and figure out which types of tasks you’re good at.
After three months, your earnings improve to $200 to $500 per month if you are consistent.
By month six, if you’ve really committed to improving your skills and moved into more specialized work, you could be earning $500 – $1,500 or more per month.
In Year 1, you can earn $1,000 to $3,000 or more each month. This is possible if you take this seriously, and you might also move into higher-skilled jobs like writing or virtual assistance.
The most important thing I learned is that these job types are stepping stones, not destinations. I used them to build computer skills, see how online work functions, build my portfolio and save money that I later invested in better equipment and education for higher-paying jobs.
What can you expect for different job types:
- Captcha typing: You will make about $0.50 to $2 per hour. It’s mindless work you can do while watching TV, but don’t expect big money.
- Surveys: $2 to $8 per hour, depending on your demographics. Some surveys pay well, others are a waste of time.
- Data Entry: Can earn between $3 to $10 per hour as a beginner. Repetitive but becomes mindless, and it earns good.
I earned $10,000+ for 2,883 hours of work in total. Got paid hourly, but I finished weekly tasks quickly. (Got paid for 60 hours per week, but completed tasks in just 10-15 hours) - Virtual Assistance: $8 to $25 per hour once you have experience. This has the most growth potential and is worth your time.
- Content Writing: from $5 to $50+ per hour based on skill. If you can write well, this is where the money is. You can also apply it to yourself once you learn.
Why am I telling you this? Because I was in your shoes once, and I want you to have realistic expectations. These are not get-rich-overnight schemes (nor do they exist). They are legitimate ways to earn extra money that require the time and effort you would put into any other job.
Online Data Entry Jobs From Home
I tried data entry as one of the first types of online work, and it’s perfect if you’re just getting started. You don’t need special skills – just basic computer knowledge and attention to detail. I can also help you with your Resume, you can reach out at any time. I am happy to help.
1. Clickworker
I have personally used Clickworker and found it to be one of the more reliable platforms for micro tasks.
After I signed up (which was free), I took some qualification assessments. These aren’t hard – they just want to make sure you can follow instructions. Once approved, I could pick from the available tasks.
The payment varies by task, but I typically earned $3 to $8 per hour when I first started. Some tasks pay more if you’re working fast and accurately.
I received my payments weekly on PayPal, and I always got them on time.
2. Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk)
Amazon MTurk takes some time to learn, but once you figure it out, the payoff is exceptionally good.
The approval process took me about a week. At first, I could only access low-paying HITS (Human Intelligence Tasks). But as my approval rating improved, better paid tasks opened.
My first task payed $0.01 and my mturk income grew up to $20 for a single task, it’s not a lot but it adds.
My advice for you is to focus on building a high approval rating (99%+) before going for quantity. This opens much better-paying work.
Customer Service Representative Work from Home Jobs
Customer service work from home has exploded in recent years. Companies realized they could save money by hiring remote workers instead of renting and managing expensive call centers, and the best part is you don’t need experience to start.
3. LiveWorld
LiveWorld hires social media customer service representatives.
Think of this role as the friendly voice for our brand’s social media. You will answer customer questions on various platforms.
I like LiveWorld because it is more engaging than a traditional customer service job. You work with different social media platforms. Liveworld careers are a great addition to your resume. It can help you apply for social media marketing roles that offer great pay.
Payment varies between $12 and $16 per hour and all you need are good writing skills, social media experience and a positive attitude.
As i am writing this LiveWorld currently only hires USA applicants.
4. Working Solutions
Working Solutions has been around for years and has a good reputation in the remote work community, as of 2025 is recongized by the Customer Contact Week as the best Business Process Outsorcer of 2025.
Tasks include phone and chat customer support and it pays between $12 and $18 per hour and a big positive is that the jobs at Working Solutions provide training and equipment and you can choose your own schedule, as long as you live in US and Canada.
5. Arise
Arise connects you with customer service jobs for big brands.
You work as an independent contractor, which gives you more flexibility but this also means you do your your own taxes.
Some of Arise’s clients are Disney, Carnival Cruise Line and Intuit and the pay depends on the client, typically $12 – $20+ per hour.
6. ModSquad
ModSquad specializes in online community management and customer service.
What makes Mods different is their focus on digital customer service like chat, email and social media instead of phone support.
Mods is known as a fun, inclusive company that values remote workers and pays them between $13 and $17 per hour.
Virtual Assistant Jobs Remote Worldwide
Virtual assistant work is where I’ve seen people make the most money long-term. It starts as basic admin work but can evolve into specialized consulting.
7. Belay
Being one of the more established virtual assistant companies, Belay hires people with administrative experience who are searching for a part-time, flexible work.
The application process starts with skills assessment, but everything is free, and to be honest they are selective, but if you get in, the work is steady and it pays $13 to $18 per hour to start.
8. Time Etc
Time Etc connects experienced virtual assistants with entrepreneurs and small business owners, and by experienced specifically they want at least 5 years of administrative experience.
If you are experienced, this means higher pay and better clients, starting between $11 and $16 per hour and the opportunity to work with the clients long-term.
9. Fancy Hands
What i love about Fancy Hands is that they offer bite sized virtual assistant tasks, usually so small it takes 15-20 minutes and you can fit them easily into a busy schedule.
The tasks are usually making a phone call, research, data entry or scheduling appointments and you get paid per task rather then hourly.
If you don’t want to commit to regular hours, start with a task and earn $2.50 – $7.
10. Zirtual
Many VAs start their journey with Zirtual a platform that matches virtual assistants with entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Starting at $11 and up to $16 per hour, you will offer administrative support, research, social media management or tasks like travel planning.
If you are in the US this is your journey to develop specialized skills and eventually start your own consulting business which is in high demand in 2025.
Remote Content Writing Jobs
My favorite and this is how i ended up with my own blog. If you know how to write clearly and do research, content writing is one of the most lucrative online jobs without investment. I have seen writers go from earning $5 articles to $500+ articles as they develop their skills.
11. Textbroker
One of the first content platforms I tried is Textbroker.
I submitted my writing sample, got rated on a 2-5 scale and then i was able to choose from available assignments. Started as a 3 star writer making about $10 to $15 per hour, soon after i reached 4 star status and my hourly rate nearly doubled.
As a starter with 2 stars you get paid $0.007 per word, making $10.5 for 1500 words, and the payment goes up to $0.014 earning you $21 for the same word count.
I encourage you to try Textbroker and focus on improving your rating rather than just completing volume, the better you rank the more money you make.
12. PollPay
PollPay is a straightforward survey app that i tested for a month and earned $49.
Surveys pay $0.50 to $2.50 each and took me 10-15 minutes to complete.
The downside is the $25 payout threshold, which requires patience before your first cash-out, but I liked that you earn at least 1 coin even if you’re disqualified from a survey, and the app lets you choose surveys based on length and reward amount.
It’s legitimate pocket money, but definitely not full-time income territory.
13. YSense
YSense offers multiple earning opportunities, not just surveys like cash-back shopping, game testing and small tasks.
I earned $73 over six weeks, averaging about $12 per week with 45 minutes of daily activity.
The $10 cash-out minimum is much more reasonable than other survey platforms, and the referral program added nice bonuses to my earnings too.
The variety kept things interesting, even though to be honest i still faced survey disqualifications about 30-40% of the time.
Excpect to earn around $40 to $60 per month with consistent effort.
14. WriterAccess
WriterAccess connects freelance writers with businesses that need content, but what’s different is you can set your own rates and build relationships with clients.
I know bloggers who charge anywhere from $0.03 to $1+ per word depending on their experience.
15. ClearVoice
This platform is not beginner friendly, works with major brands and only hires experienced writers who can produce professional level content
Matching the high quality content ClearVoice pays above average rates.
Even though it’s more selective, it’s a big milestone and i encourage you to ‘climb the content ladder.’ Start with the beginner friendly content writing jobs and once you improve your skills and build a portfolio apply for ClearVoice.
16. Contently
Contently is at the higher end of content platforms and offers the highest rates in content marketing.
To apply you need a portfolio of published work with proven expertise in specific industries.
Survey and Research Jobs
Survey work gets a bad reputation, but if you find the right legitimate platforms and fit certain demographics, it can provide a steady supplemental income.
17. Swagbucks
I use Swagbucks as my default search engine and take surveys when they match my demographics and i make 20 to 50 bucks per month with minimal effort completing surveys, watching videos and playing games.
I signed up and my first survey lasted 1 min and earned me 2 SB.
SB means SwagBucks and to make it clear how many swagbucks is a dollar, SB = 1 cent (roughly).
So, the month i made 4,411 SB = $44,11.

18. UserTesting
UserTesting pays you to test websites and apps.
All you have to do is go through a website while speaking your thoughts out loud, the tests are recorded and they pay you per recording.
You get payed $10 for a 20 minute test and up to $60 for longer tests.
The only requirement is to have a computer or a phone with a microphone.
I have completed about 15 tests and have always been paid within 7 days.
19. Respondent
Respondent connects you with high paying market research studies.
I have participated in 3 studies and earned $280 total. To be transparent sometimes it takes months to get a survey, it’s not consistent work, but when you get a survey it’s great pay.
The price per study is from $50 up to $500 depending on length and topic, the studies are more in depth and the higher payment requires higher attention and usually takes 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete.
Other Surveys
If you are curious why there are so many platforms that pay for completing surveys, it’s because companies want to know what we actually think of their products and need the real genuine human feedback.
Some of the survey companies that i recommend to make extra money are Prize Rebel, Opinion Outpost, American Consumer Opinion, Pinecone Research and the more survey websites you sign up for, the more money you can make.

Online Tutoring Jobs
If you have expertise in any subject, online tutoring can be quite lucrative and personally rewarding.
20. Preply
You can tutor with Preply in almost any subject, not just languages.
How it works is you set your own hourly rate. I have seen rates from $5 to $80 per hour depending on subject and experience, and something to keep in mind is that Preply takes a commission that decreases the more lessons you teach with a student.
I heard about Preply from a friend i made working on a cruise ship, she tutors Spanish and makes $300 to $600 per month and works 5-10 hours per week.
Start earning with Preply here.
21. Cambly
Cambly hires you to have a conversation with English learners.
If you are a native English speaker all you have to do is set up a call and have a normal conversation without needing to plan a lesson to get payed.
It pays $10.20 per hour and you can work whenever you want.
22. iTalki
iTalki is a language learning platform where you can offer tutoring or conversation practice.
On iTalki you can either earn as a professional teacher (required credentials) or a community teacher with no teaching experience needed.
You set your own rates, however community tutors typically charge $5-$15 per hour.

Captcha Typing Jobs
Captcha typing jobs have become popular because they’re so simple anyone can do them. The pay is low, but it’s truly mindless work.
23. 2Captcha
2Captcha is the most popular captcha solving platform.
You can get payed by Paypal, Bitcoin or WebMoney to solve captcha puzzles that automated systems can’t handle.
The minimal payout is $0.50 and it goes up to $2 per hour depending on your speed and accuracy. This won’t make you rich, but it’s perfect for mindless income while you watch Secret Lives of Mormon Wifes or whatever your guilty pleasure tv show is.
24. Kolotibablo
Similar to 2Captcha but with slightly more, starting with $0.80 and goes up to $2.50 per hour.
What i learned about captcha jobs is that speed is everything, the faster you get, the more you earn per hour.
App Testing Jobs from Home
I’ve always been curious about app testing jobs because who doesn’t spend hours on their phone anyway, right? App testing services involve downloading new apps, testing their functionality, and reporting bugs or user experience issues to developers.
25. UserTesting (Apps)
I mentioned UserTesting earlier for website testing, but they also offer mobile app testing jobs.
Same like websites, you test apps on your phone while recording your screen and voice and you get payed $10 per 20 minute mobile test.
My tip is to apply for both website and mobile testing to get more opportunities.
26. Trymata formerly TryMyUI
TryMyUI offers testing like UserTesting. You earn $10 for completing a 20-minute test on websites and apps. During the test, you give verbal feedback.
How many tests you get depends on your demographics, but usually it’s 1-5 tests per month.
Become a Trymata tester by signing up on the link above.
27. Userbrain
Userbrain focuses on shorter, simpler tests that take 10-15 minutes to finish.
How it works?
- Sign up and download our Userbrain Recorder for Google Chrome, iOS or Android to start testing websites.
- Speak your thoughts while going through a set of tasks, for about 5 to 20 minutes.
- Receive new tests and get paid $5 per test via PayPal.
You earn exactly $5 for every 5-20 min test video that is approved.
Remote Legal Transcription Jobs
Transcription work is perfect if you’re a fast typist. The pay can be decent once you get good at it.
28. Rev
Rev is probably the most well known transcription company.
You need to change audio and video files into text. You can earn between $0.40 and $1.10 for each audio minute. This payment depends on the length of the audio, not on your time.
First, I took a free skills test. After a slow start, I could transcribe at a 3:1 ratio. This means I spent 3 minutes for every 1 minute of audio. I received my payment through PayPal.
29. TranscribeMe
TranscribeMe breaks longer files into short segments.
This platform is a little different because instead of working on full files, you work on 2-4 minute audio segments.
Once you pass the transcribeme exam you are set to become a freelance transcriptionist for the company.
Little tip – you can find answers to transcribeme exam online.
It pays $15-$22 per audio hour. I love this system, the shorter segments allowed me to work in small time chunks, and i could even transcribe on my phone during downtime.
30. GoTranscript
GoTranscript accepts transcriptionists worldwide.
Has a worldwide supportive community of transcribes who help each other and it pays $0.60 per audio minute on average.
Remote Social Media Jobs
Social media jobs from home have exploded in recent years, and honestly, it makes perfect sense since most of us are scrolling through Instagram and Facebook daily anyway. These roles can range from managing business accounts and creating content to responding to customer inquiries and running ad campaigns.
What i love about social media jobs is that they don’t require a marketing degree – they are looking for people who understand how social media platforms work and can engage authentically with audiences.
Social Media and Content Manager
SMM can make you thousands of dollars even as a student with no experience and it’s perfect for small businesses that need help but can’t afford agencies.
My friend started managing social media for 3 local coffee places and charges each one $300, making $900 steady income monthly.
To get started reach out to local businesses or find clients on platforms like Upwork.
What does a social media manager actually do? Think of yourself as the business owner, think about the brand, crate a strategy, content, schedule it and respond to comments and texts, then send the analytics ot the actual owner.
Usually the pricing starts at $200 up.
31. Buffer
Buffer occasionally hires for remote social media positions.
If this is your first time reading about Buffer, it’s a social media management software company and they have great company culture and competitive salaries.
Their careers page is a good tab to keep an eye on.
Specialized Online Jobs Without Investment
32. Content Moderator Job
Various platforms hire content moderators to review user-generated content more popular online as UGC.
Some of the companies hiring include ModSquad and Resolver (formerly Crisp Thinking), and the role includes reviewing posts, images and videos to ensure they meet community guidelines and it payes $10-$15 per hour.
Please consider that some content might be disturbing,
33. Search Engine Evaluator
Companies like Appen and Lionbridge hire search engine evaluators to evaluate search results for relevance and quality, the pay is $12-$15 per hour and the hours are flexible but with monthly minimums.
34. Online Chat Support
The Chat Shop hires chat agents.
You provide customer support via live chat rather than phone.
The pay is between $10 and $16 per hour.
This is a no phone anxiety role, and a plus is that you can handle multiple chats simultaneously.
35. Translation Work
If you’re bilingual, translation platforms like Gengo and Unbabel can pay well.
Payment is $0.03 to $0.17 per word depending on language pair and complexity and of course this role required being fluent in at least two languages.
36. Voice Acting
Voices.com offers opportunities for voice actors for simple narrations.
You can start with just a smartphone in a quiet room and it pays $50 to $500+ per project depending on the length and client budget.
Jobs Involving Gaming
When I first heard that people could make money playing video games, I thought it’s fake, but the gaming industry has created legitimate opportunities for remote workers, from testing new games and streaming gameplay to writing gaming content and managing gaming communities.
And the pay? From a few dollars for simple game testing to hundreds per month for experienced streamers.
37. Game Testing
Companies like Mistplay (android friendly) and InboxDollars pay for people to test mobile games and provide feedback.
You either play games, complete achievements or provide feedback for gift cards rather than cash, $5 – $50 per month depending on play time.
My honest take? It’s fun but low paying, but if you already play games, you might as well get paid.
38. Freecash
Make extra money on Freecash by completing different tasks like answering surveys, playing games, referring friends and 12,149 other ways.
Freecash users have earned more than 8 digits since the platform started back in 2020. Yes, that’s $80.000.000+ transactions received on PayPal, as bitcoin and even free gift cards.
I couldn’t resist the hype as well, being my sceptical self, receiving $214 playing a game on my phone after just one week, sure proved the internet right. It’s real.
Click here to sign up for Freecash.
39. Music Review
Slice the Pie pays you to review music.
I made about $15 in a month during my commute.
Not substantial but easy, you get paid $0.02 to $0.20 to listen to songs and write brief reviews.
High Paying Micro Task Websites
I have already mentioned, micro task websites are where I actually got my start with making money online, and I was amazed at how quickly small tasks can add up to real money. These sites offer short assignments like data entry, image tagging, content moderation and research tasks that pay anywhere from $0.10 to $20 per task.
I’ve seen people earn $500+ per month just by dedicating a couple hours daily to the right platforms.
40. Kashkick
Kashkick is one of the best high paying micro task websites where you can make extra money by completing different tasks like taking surveys, watching videos, and other bite sized tasks.
Microtasking platforms like Kashkick are beginner-friendly and don’t require any experience or investment to start earning money.
If you’re curious, how long does Kashkick take to pay? The first Kashkick payout took about two weeks, but after that, my payments landed in less than 24 hours.
One of the bigger tasks I did (signing up for a financial app) earned me $20, but for actual micro tasking and completing the smaller surveys, I only made around $0.50 to $2 each.
Not a lot, but it adds up. My busiest week made me $35.
My advice to you is to give genuine and honest answers, because apps like Kashkick can easily get you disqualified from future surveys and lower your chances of landing micro tasks if they notice inconsistent answers across surveys.
You can get the Kashkick sign up bonus here.
Apps like Clickworker and Amazon MTurk
I mentioned MTurk and Clickworker earlier, but let me share some advanced strategies I learned to maximize these micro tasks websites.
Starting with Amazon MTurk, a tip for high-paying HITs is to look for writing tasks, research projects and data analysis.
I recommend using tools like the browser extension mTurk Suite to find better HITs faster and to complete qualification tests to unlock higher paying work.
My best month i made $347 working about 15 hours per week once i knew what i was doing.
Moving on to Clickworker, beyond basic tasks, Clickworker offers more complex projects too.
There are higher-paying tasks that require qualification like UHRS tasks or writing projects including project descriptions, blog posts, translations and similar.
My strategy that i swear by is to focus on getting qualified for writing tasks, because it paid me 3-4x more than basic data entry.
Get Paid To Read Books
41. Booklist
Booklist Publications is looking for freelancers to review books that are around 150 to 175 words long and it’s the perfect side hustle for readers.
Booklist pays $15 for each book review once the review has been published.
Being part of the American Library Association, this platform’s purpose is to be a guide for all library workers in purchasing books for their library.
42. Online Book Club
OnlineBookClub.org is quite unique when it comes to payment.
Your first payment is not in cash, it’s actually a book, and after that you are eligible to be paid around $5 to $60 for each book review plus the books that you are reviewing are free for you.
I did tons of research on how to get paid to read books and Online Book Club claims that you can earn couple hundred dollars a month by reviewing books.
43. Online Book Reviewing
I discovered book reviewing completely by accident when I was browsing for free books online.
NetGalley and Kirkus Reviews actually pay you to read books before they’re published and write honest reviews.
Book reader jobs include reading advance copies of books (usually digital) and writing detailed reviews about them. Publishers use these reviews for marketing and of course to improve their books before they launch.
The pay is from $5 to $50 per review depending on the book length and platform. Longer, more detailed reviews pay more.
I’ve reviewed 12 books through NetGalley in 2024 and earned $240, and to make this happen i commited 2-6 hours per book.
The best part? I got to keep all the books! Love reading books so this felt like getting paid for my hobby.
There are a lot of jobs that pay you to read books, as long as you have strong writing skills, ability to meet deadlines and honestly – you actually enjoy reading.
Online Jury Duty Jobs as Mock Jurors
Learning how to become a mock juror is simple – there are mock juror online programs that let you sign up online and get notified of opportunities you can participate in from home.
44. eJury
eJury pays you to be a mock juror for real legal cases.
I heard about eJury from my friend Soph, and I had no idea what a mock juror was, but basically, lawyers use this to test their arguments before going to trial.
To land a job, you have to be a US citizen over 28.
No legal background is needed, hence the name – mock trial jurors, they actually prefer regular people because the whole idea is to help the legal system.
Soph participated in 8 cases over 4 months and earned $180.
She reviewed case materials (usually takes 20 minutes to 2 hours), watched video presentations from both sides, and then made a verdict and reasoning as if she were a real juror.
45. OnlineVerdict
OnlineVerdict is another online mock jury platform.
Online jury duty jobs like eJury and Online Verdict pay decent money for you to pretend to be a real mock juror online.
Online Copy Paste Jobs
I thought copy and paste jobs sounded too simple to be real.
But these copy paste job platforms pay from $0.05 to $0.50 per task making me $8 per hour.
46. Guru.com
Guru has a dedicated section for copy paste work under their data entry category.
I completed a project copying restaurant information from a website into a spreadsheet and earned $18 for about 2.5 hours of work.
Guru usually pays from $3 to $12 per hour and what I liked about Guru is that there are clear project descriptions for every task.
47. Upwork Copy Paste Projects
Upwork lists copy paste work under ‘Data Entry’ and ‘Virtual Assistant’ categories.
The thing about upwork is, it’s really competitive which makes this hard, but you can easily identify legitimate job listings and once you get one copy paste job it’s easy to compete for others.
Upwork pays from $2 to $15 per hour.
48. PeoplePerHour Simple Tasks
PeoplePerHour has ‘Hourlies’- fixed price small tasks that often include copy and past jobs.
Example job i saw here was to copy 100 product listings from one platform to another, paying $25.
Get £30 credit by signing in with my link.
49. Truelancer
Truelancer is great for international workers in India and other developing countries.
Compared to Upwork the competition is lower and the tasks include copying e-commerce products, creating directory listings or data migration.
Particularly good freelancer job in India and other developing countries.
50. Freelancer.pk
Freelancer.pk regularly posts copy paste opportunities.
Usually pays through PayPal or local payment methods for taks that involve copying business information, product details and creating database entries.
Form Filling Jobs
I have earned $12 in one hour doing form filling work and i wanted to mention Clickworker, Amazon Mechanical Turk, Upwork, PeoplePerHour and Guru as form filling platforms too, as a guide when you visit their websites.
I was making $5 per hour with Amazon MTurk doing form-related HITS.
Mobile Phone Jobs
This category has exploded in the past few years, and I’ve personally earned over $400 just from mobile work from Jan-June this year. The key is knowing which apps actually pay and which ones waste your time.
If you can dedicate 1-2 hours daily you can earn from $8 to $18 per day.
51. TaskRabbit Mobile App
TaskRabbit isn’t just for physical tasks – many virtual jobs can be managed through mobile with tasks like customer service chat, appointment scheduling or basic research.
Swagbucks Mobile App
Swagbucks mobile app is actually better than their website for many tasks.
I do surveys during my commute, watch videos during my lunch breaks and i play mobile games in the evening.
I earn from $3 to $8 daily from these mobile surveys, watching video ads and they pay me with PayPal or gift cards. Minimum is $3 for gift cards.
Survey Junkie
The Survey Junkie mobile app is perfect for earning during downtime.
I have close friends and family members that earner over $200 this year just from mobile surveys while waiting in lines.
SJ pays between $0.50 and $3, with some demographic specific surveys paying up to $15.
I prefer the mobile version because i can push notifications that alert me to new surveys immediately.
Blogging
I wanted to keep the list with legitimate online jobs to work from home and start earning today, but i can’t have a list of jobs to make money online and not include blogging.
You have probably read about starting a blog countless times by now, but what you maybe don’t know is it’s the cheapest business to start from home that can earn you $100,000+ monthly. Yes, monthly.
If you can dedicate 1 year to being consistent and earn your first $1,000 you can start hiring freelancers to write for you and multiply your income month by month.
Blogging income is endless. If you think it’s too good to be true, here are some mommy, parenting blogs and their earnings for motivation:
The Busy Budgeter – $86,600+ per month
The Realistic Mama – $24,000+ per month
What Moms Love – $30,000+ per month
What Mommy Does – $7,000+ per month
Mommy On Purpose – $5,000+ per month
Scary Mommy – $6.8+ million per year
Blogging is not easy, but 3 years blogging could retire you if you treat it like a full-time job from day one.
If you don’t know how do bloggers actually make money.
– From the ads you see when you visit a website
– Affiliate links – when you click on a link from an article and you buy something, we earn comission from the purchase
– Selling digital products
– Courses, and to be honest, anything as long as you have genuine audience.
Daily Payment Options (What People Really Want to Know)
When I first started working online, I desperately needed to see which jobs would actually pay me quickly.
So in these 6 years i tested the payment schedules on 51+ legitimate online jobs without investment, and here’s the list.
Online jobs paying daily
- 2Captcha You can withdraw anytime once you reach the $0.50 minimum. I’ve gotten payments within hours during weekdays.
- Kolotibablo Similar to 2Captcha, instant withdrawals after you reach minimum thresholds.
- Survey Junkie offers daily cash outs once you reach $5. I’ve used this when I needed quick coffee money!
- SwagBucks You can cash out daily once you hit minimums, gift cards are often instant
- Freecash Multimple daily withdrawal options
- KashKick’s first payment took two weeks, but after that it was under 24 hours
- PollPay Once you hit the $25 minimum (which takes patience) you can cash out quickly
Legit online jobs that pay weekly
- UserTesting They say ‘within 7 days’ but in my experience, it’s usually 3-5 business days.
- Rev Every Tuesday like clockwork by PayPal, this was one of my most reliable payments.
- TranscribeMe
- Clickworker Every Thursday without fail
- GoTranscript Weekly by PayPal, usually Fridays
- Respondent Usually 1 to 5 business days after completing a study
My advice is not to chase daily payments if it means lower hourly rates. I learned to work across multiple platforms and let the money build up rather than constantly cashin out $3 here and $7 there.
But when you truly need money fast? Focus on 2Captcha, Freecash or PollPay. These three saved me when i needed quick cash for groceries or gas money!
Best online jobs for college students
I wish someone had told me about these online jobs for college students when i was in college! I was working retail for $7.25 an hour when i could have been making at least $10 to $15 an hour from my dorm room.
- Surveying jobs during those gaps between classes (I used to just scroll social media anyway)
- Transcript proofreading jobs during study breaks, and bonus that it actually improves your typing skills for papers
- Online tutoring jobs for college students are perfect, you can tutor in subjects you’re currently taking
- Remote content writing jobs about topics related to your major (builds your portfolio too)
- Remote user testing jobs to squeeze in the 20 minute breaks between studies
Best online jobs for stay at home moms and dads

I have so many friends who’ve made these work around their kids’ schedules, but let me be realistic with you.
What actually works when you have little ones:
- Surveys during nap time
- Earnin customer service chat (like ModSquad) you control when you’re available
- Transcript evaluator jobs with Rev and GoTranscript let you work in short bursts
- Data entry and virtual assistant jobs through Belay or Time Etc
- 2Captcha while the kids watch cartoons (mindless but pays)
A message from my mom friends: Don’t expect to work full 8 hour days with toddlers running around, start with few hours daily and figure it out as you go. To end this message on a good note, one friend started with $200 and now makes $800 because she was consistent.
Online jobs for international students in USA
I get emails from readers worldwide asking about this, and yes, you can do this too. Here’s what works:
- Clickworker accepts workers from most countries (I have readers in Germany and Phillippines using this)
- TranscribeMe
- 2Captcha and Kolotibablo are truly worldwide
- Preply and iTalki (Get $5 on iTalki by using my link to sign up)
- UserTesting is expanding, you can check for your country
- Rev is mainly US, UK, Canada and Australia
PayPal works in most countries, but some have restrictions or high fees. Research this BEFORE spending hours on a platform, I’ve learned this from a reader in Nigeria who couldn’t access his earnings for weeks.
Platforms to Avoid from My Experience
My most embarrassing truth on this topic is that i actually paid $57 for a ‘data entry course’ that promised to teach me secret high paying methods. Want to know what it was? A PDF telling me to sign up for the same free platforms i already knew about!
- Get Rich Quick Survey Sites: If any site promises you can make more than $500 per day just taking a survey, run!
- MLM disquised as jobs: This one makes me so mad. If a website wants you to recruit your friends or buy something to ‘get started.’ It’s not a real job.
- Platforms that want YOU to pay THEM: Never, ever pay money to work. Not for ‘training’ and not for ‘starter kits,’ nothing. Real jobs pay you, not the other way around.
I felt so stupid but I just proved to myself one more time, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

How You’ll Actually Get Paid
Payment methods vary by platform, but here’s what I found works best:
PayPal is accepted by about 90% of the platforms I used and offers the fastest payment processing. This became my go-to method because I could usually access my earnings within 1-2 business days.
Direct bank transfers are available on most platforms but take 2 to 5 business days to process. I used this option for larger payments when I wasn’t in a hurry for the money.
Gift cards are often available immediately and can be a good option if you shop at those stores regularly anyway. I sometimes chose Amazon gift cards because I knew I’d use them.
Some platforms now offer cryptocurrency payments, usually Bitcoin, and often include small bonuses for choosing this method. I tried this a few times but found the value fluctuations made it unpredictable, so it’s a no from me.
My strategy was to stick with PayPal for convenience and speed, but I always kept detailed records of all my earnings for tax purposes on an excel sheet i created.
Remote Work Tax Implications (The Stuff No One Talks About)
Now, I know taxes aren’t exactly the most exciting topic to discuss, but they are super important when you’re earning money from home.
I’ve learned this from others over the years, and i want to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes i did when i first started earning money online.
When you start making money from any of these online jobs from home, you need to track EVERYTHING.
Keep record of all your income, expenses and payment dates. Yes, even that $57 from surveys.
If you’re in the US, companies will send you 1099 forms if they pay you $600 or more in one year. But the thing that most people miss (me) is that you’re supposed to report ALL of your income, even if it’s less than $600.
I learned this when i started my first blog and was earning small amounts from different places. It all adds up, and the IRS wants to know about it.
Tell you something good? You can deduct things like your internet bill, computer costs or office supplies.
Overall, it gets a little tricky and if you are not a math girlie like me, i advice you to get a tax professional once you start earning more than $1,000 per year.
My Personal Experience With These Online Jobs
After 6 years of testing ways to earn extra money online I know what actually works and what doesn’t and I want to share my honest experience because I know how frustrating it is to read about ‘amazing opportunities’ that require upfront costs or don’t live up to the hype.
Here is how I planned my days when I was actively working on these types of jobs.
My Daily Routine That Actually Worked:
As a work harder not smarter, type A girlie I found that consistency was way more important than trying to work long hours. Instead of dedicating entire days to these tasks, I planned them to fit my schedule during natural breaks.
In the morning before starting my 9 to 5, I’d spend about an hour doing transcription work on GoTranscript. This usually earned me between $12 to $18 depending on the audio quality and length of files i could get through. I liked doing this task first thing in the morning, because my focus was sharpest, which meant fewer mistakes and faster typing.
Sometimes, during my lunch breaks, when they would not match with my coworkers i would pull out my phone and complete surveys on SwagBucks while eating. The timing was perfecct because most surveys only take 10-15 minutes anyway which earned me about $3 to $5.
On my commute home (I took public transportation), I’d use Swagbucks mobile activities to earn another $3. This felt like ‘free’ money since i would spend the time scrolling on instagram anyway.
Evening were my most productive time for form filling and copy paste tasks. I spent about 2 hours between 7 to 9 PM and earned anywhere from $8 to $16.
Before bed, captcha typing was my perfect winding down activity while watching TV. The 2Captcha tasks are mindless and the earnings match the task coming up to $2.
My daily totals usually ranged from $24 to $44, which meant i was looking at potential monthly income of $720 to $1,320 if i kept this routine consistently.
Not every day looked like this, and the whole idea behind this blog post is to give you ideas to earn extra money instead of scrolling on Tik Tok, not to make your whole day about work.
But having these options, you can earn money without mental energy for your coffee this week.
What Actually Helps You Succeed
After trying these jobs for over 5 years, I learned that small improvements in efficiency can make a huge difference in your hourly earnings.
For copy paste jobs, learning keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Tab made me significantly faster. If you can set up dual monitors, do it – being able to see source and destination at the same time speeds everything up. I aimed for at least 100 copy paste actions per hour and tracked my speed to see improvement over time.
For mobile jobs, enabling push notifications meant I never missed high-paying opportunities that *note* disappear quickly.
I also learned to use Wi-Fi whenever possible to avoid data charges, and keeping a portable charger to work longer sessions without worrying about my phone dying.
Form filling became much easier once I mastered tab navigation between fields and created text shortcuts for information I entered repeatedly. The key is accuracy, errors hurt your ratings and can get you removed from platforms.
For typing jobs, I spent time improving my typing speed using free tools like Typing.com. Good headphones are essential for transcription work, and also regular breaks to prevent hand strain.
My Final Thoughts on Online Jobs Without Investment
These jobs aren’t going to replace your career, but they can definitely provide legitimate supplemental income. I personally earned over $2,000 from these types of jobs during my year of testing, mostly during time that would have otherwise been wasted with scrolling social media.
What I noted is that the people who succeed treat these opportunities professionally. They track their time and earnings, nonstop work to improve their efficiency, and view them as skill building experiences rather than just quick cash grabs.
Some people make a few hundred dollars a month, others build it into full-time income. Set a schedule and track!
My recommendation is to start with 2-3 of these 51 platforms, really master how they work, and then gradually move on to others. Don’t try to sign up for everything at once – you’ll just overwhelm yourself, won’t do well on any platform and end up with pennies on PayPal.
Most importantly, use these jobs as stepping stones. The computer skills, online work experience, and financial cushion you build can help you pursue much higher-paying jobs not just on these 51 apps but any office, anywhere.
Remember why you’re doing this, maybe it’s bills, pay off debt, buy your parents a gift, go on a cruise with your family, keep your goals in mind and be patient with yourself.
